Mullein Steam inhalation for Rats
• Ingredients:
• 1 tablespoon dried mullein leaf
• 2 cups boiling water
• Instructions:
1. Pour boiling water over mullein in a small bowl and let steep for 1–2 minutes.
2. Place the bowl near your rat’s cage (not inside) where the steam can gently drift in.
3. Cover part of the bowl with a light cloth to help trap the steam — leave space for fresh air.
4. Let your rat breathe the steam for 5–10 minutes. Supervise closely.
Note: Keep steam indirect and make sure your rat can move away if needed. Seek a vet if symptoms continue.
Herbal Synergy Tip:
For enhanced respiratory support, this herb mixes beautifully with nettle and plantain leaf. Together, they offer a well-rounded blend of benefits—mucus clearing, soothing inflammation, and promoting lung tissue healing. Ideal for seasonal changes or rats with chronic respiratory sensitivities, these three herbs work in harmony to gently support your mischief’s breathing and immune health.
Blending Tip:
To create a powerful, rat-safe respiratory mix, you can combine equal parts of nettle, mullein, and plantain leaf and grind them together using a clean coffee grinder or blender. This creates a fine powder that can be:
Sprinkled over food
Mixed into foraging
Stirred into natural yogurt or malt paste
Added to a bit of warm water for a gentle herbal infusion
Grinding makes the herbs easier for your rats to eat and helps ensure they get the full benefit of each one. Store the blended powder in an airtight container away from heat and sunlight for up to 6 months. ✨
Important: Use sparingly and rotate every other week. ✅
This herb is best taken in 2 week cycles and should not be taken along side our Ultimate Land Herb & Sea Algae mix. 🌿✅
A calm, herbal staple for holistic rat care.
10g pack – nature’s breath of fresh air. 🐀🌿💨
